Screening That Enhances Your Outdoor Space

Trellis and decorative screening do more than define a boundary, they add visual interest, create intimate spaces within a garden, screen unwanted views, and provide the perfect support for climbing plants and roses. Whether you want to extend the height of an existing fence with a trellis topper, create a full garden screen, divide a patio or screen a bin store, Insta Fence can design and install the right solution.

We install trellis and decorative screening on concrete or timber posts, as standalone garden dividers, or as extensions to an existing fence line. All products are pressure-treated and can be stained or painted in your chosen colour. We work across Telford, Shropshire and the West Midlands.

Six Reasons to Choose Trellis & Decorative Screening

Adds Privacy Without Bulk

Trellis panels let light through while screening sightlines, creating privacy without making your garden feel enclosed or dark.

Perfect for Climbing Plants

Lattice trellis provides the ideal structure for clematis, roses, jasmine and other climbing plants, adding natural colour and fragrance to your boundary.

Increases Effective Fence Height

Adding a trellis topper to an existing solid fence increases height and privacy without
requiring planning permission (typically up to 2m total).

Decorative Impact

A well-chosen screening panel transforms the look of a garden boundary — far more attractive than plain lap panels and a real selling point for the property.

Divides Garden Spaces

Use decorative screening to create separate zones within a garden, dining areas, vegetable patches, children’s play areas, without making the space feel smaller.

Range of Styles Available

Diamond lattice, square lattice, hit-and-miss slat panels, slatted screening and bespoke designs, we advise on the right style for your property.

In most cases, adding a trellis topper to the top of an existing solid fence is permitted development, provided the combined height remains under 2 metres on a boundary adjoining a highway, or 2 metres elsewhere. A trellis extension is also significantly cheaper than replacing the entire fence at a greater height. We can assess your existing fence and advise on the best way to increase privacy or height using a trellis addition. Call us for a free assessment.
