| Pedestrian / Side Gate Single gate for side access. Typically 0.75m–1.35m wide. Timber framed with matching boards. Fitted with latch, hinge and packs. |
| Single Driveway Gate Covering wider openings up to ~2.0m. Heavier construction. Braced timber frame. Driveway hinges latch lock to post. |

Measure opening, assess ground, confirm post position, discuss gate style and hardware.

Gate & Post Specification
Specify gate leaf size, timber grade, post section, depth and hardware requirements.

Post Installation
Gate posts set deep (min 750mm) with concrete haunching for maximum rigidity, critical for long-term gate performance.

Gate Hanging
Gate hung on heavy-duty hinges, adjusted for plumb and swing clearance.

Hardware Fitting
Latch, drop bolt, lock provision and any additional hardware fitted and tested.

Final Adjustment & Sign Off
Gate tested through full open/close cycle, adjusted as needed, client approval.
What Hardware Do We Fit as Standard?
Every gate Insta Fence installs includes: heavy-duty galvanised or stainless hinges rated for the gate weight; a quality latch (Ring or Suffolk latch) on pedestrian gates; a bolt to the ground on driveway and double gates to hold the passive leaf; and a padlock loop on request. We do not cut corners on gate hardware, a quality gate hung on cheap hinges will fail quickly.
