HOW IT WORKS
Our Concrete Post Installation Process

Free Site Survey
We visit your property, assess the ground conditions, measure the run, check for underground cables or pipes, and advise on the correct post size and spacing for your specific requirements.

Post Specification & Fencing Quote
We provide a detailed, no-obligation quote including post type, depth of installation, concrete haunching mix and panel specification. No hidden costs, everything is itemised upfront.

Ground Preparation
Holes are dug to the correct depth (typically 600mm for a 6ft fence) using either a manual or mechanical auger, depending on ground conditions. All spoil is removed from site.

Post Setting & Haunching
Each post is set plumb, aligned and haunched with a concrete mix to prevent movement. Posts are checked for level and string-lined for a straight, professional finish before panels are installed.

Panel Installation
Fence panels, gravel boards and post caps are fitted once the posts are confirmed plumb and true. Gravel boards protect the base of timber panels from ground contact and moisture.

Clean Up & Sign Off
All spoil, packaging and waste is cleared from site. You inspect the finished fence before we ask you to sign off the job. We also advise on any future maintenance for timber panels.
Did You Know? Gravel Boards Make Your Wooden Panels Last Longer
When wooden fence panels sit directly on the soil, they absorb ground moisture and begin to rot from the base within a few years. Fitting a concrete gravel board (150mm or 300mm) below the panel lifts the timber clear of the ground, dramatically extending the life of your panels. We recommend gravel boards as standard on all our concrete post installations
