All posts supplied and installed by Insta Fence are pressure-treated to UC3 or UC4 grade, the industry standard for ground-contact timber. This treatment maximises lifespan by protecting against rot, fungi and insect attack. Wooden posts are best suited to lighter panel types and gardens where aesthetics are a priority. Our Concrete Post Installation Process

Free Site Survey
We visit your property, assess the ground conditions, measure the run, check for underground cables or pipes, and advise on the correct post size and spacing for your specific requirements.

Post Specification & Fencing Quote
Advise on post size, treatment grade and correct depth based on fence height and ground conditions.
| 03 |
Ground Preparation
Dig holes to the correct depth, minimum 600mm for a 6ft fence. Dig deeper in soft ground or exposed locations.

Post Setting & Haunching
Post set plumb using a level, then backfilled with Postcrete or compacted hardcore. Allow to cure before panel fitting.

Panel Installation
Panels and rails fitted once posts are confirmed plumb and secure. All fixings are corrosion-resistant.

Clean Up & Sign Off
Site cleared of all debris, client walks the line and signs off. Maintenance advice provided at handover.
Extend the Life of Your Wooden Posts, Our Maintenance Advice
Even pressure-treated posts benefit from periodic treatment. Apply a quality timber preservative or fence stain every 2–3 years, paying particular attention to the end grain at the top of the post. Fitting a post cap prevents water ingress at the top, which is the most common cause of early timber decay. Insta Fence can advise on suitable products and application methods during installation.
